Deleuze and Cinema Project on Critical Commons

Students in my Deleuze and Culture course have uploaded clips and commentary as part of our work last semester on Deleuze’s cinema books. Working with Steve Anderson at Critical Commons, we set up a “Deleuze and Cinema” page to which anyone can contribute. The clips and commentary from students in my class currently are the only contributions to the “lecture,” but I plan to add additional clips and commentary and issue an open invitation to anyone working with Deleuze’s cinema books to participate by uploading and downloading clips, adding comments and commentary, and directing others to the site.

In the spring semester of 2009, I am scheduled to teach an undergraduate course in African American cinema and a graduate course entitled Readings in Cultural Studies.

Spring 2007 Courses

During the Spring semester of 2007, I will be teaching two courses at Williams College. Introduction to Film Theory and Criticism and Race, Sexuality, and Cinema will be offered through the Art Department. Race, Sexuality, and Cinema is cross-listed with Africana Studies.

Fall 2006 Courses

During the Fall semester of 2006, I taught two courses at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – a graduate seminar co-taught with Rich Cante and an undergraduate course. The undergraduate course is titled “Media and Activism.” The graduate seminar is “Queer Theory.”
